Some polite tax queries about England's future queen

We think the response from the family company to Gilligan's queries puts them on a bit of a sticky wicket.
"Party Pieces is a private business and you will therefore understand that we will not be responding to the various questions you have asked."
We ought to be told a little more about this.

Why? Why ought we know more? This has been well debated over at taxresearch, and Richard Murphy's conclusion seems to be that you (and Gilligan) and asking some pretty dumb questions.
Er, this is a role model for the nation we are talking about. If -- though it's only an if -- they have been avoiding tax, then a cover-up doesn't seem to be the appropriate answer, does it.
